Spring AAU Travel Teams

The Illinois Magic AAU Basketball Travel Teams are designed to maximize a players experience and the play against greater competition.  Our teams are for the serious player.  The teams will participate in five tournaments from April - June.  Teams will practice twice weekly.  Most of the tournaments are in the Midwest and regionally located.   All tryouts are at Regional Sports Center, 1310 Ridgefield Rd., Crystal Lake, IL  60014   Watch for updates and date or time change.  Tenative tournament schedule at bottom of page.

All Players should bring a basketball to practice.  Please label them with your name.

PRACTICE SCHEDULE

Practice will begin the week of March 31st

Boys 17U/11th Grade

Monday / Thursday nights at Marengo H.S. (Marengo, IL) 7:00-9:00 PM

Boys 16U/10th Grade

Wednesday / Thursday nights at the Regional Sports Center.  7:30-9:00 PM

Boys 15U/9th Grade

Monday nights at Crystal Lake Central H.S. (Black, Red & Silver Teams) 6:30-8:30 PM (all freshmen boys)

Wednesday night at Crystal Lake Central 6:00-7:30 PM. (Black Team)

Friday night at the Regional Sports Center. 7:30-9:00 PM.  (Red & Silver )

Thursday / Friday nights at the Regional Sports Center. 6:00-7:30 PM

Upcoming Classes

Spring Skills Training
The goal of this program is to develop the strengths of hte individual player.  the athlete will be put thru a series of developmental skills ranging from ball handling, shooting, footwork,defense, conditioning and game situations.

Summer Shooting Camp
This camp will focus on teaching the proper techniques for shooting the basketball. Coach Dello and his staff will work on developing the proper footwork, balance, accuracy and form. 

Back To School Camp
a great opportunity to learn basketball from Coach Dello and his staff.  Shooting techniques, individual offense and defense, a mini-game schedule, 3-on-3 contest, passing, dribbling, ball handling skills, rebounding techniques and shooting contests will be covered.

Men's Basketball League
(18 & up)

10 week season (8 game regular season followed by a 2 game tournament).
